2020
We had plans to start a new business (unrelated to our current one). However, the outbreak of a global virus paralyzed the world and made us realize that some business models are highly sensitive to unforeseen circumstances. We had to redefine our strategy and eventually found ourselves in an entirely new world. It was then that the idea for NERDS.PH was born out of our hobby, thirst for knowledge, and keen interest in new technologies
2021
We started with just one 3D printer, an Ender 3, soon followed by more printers, but we realized that we needed something more advanced to produce quality prints. We also acquired our first laser cutter/engraver and spent a lot of time learning the software needed to design products. Prusa Slicer, Fusion 360, Lightburn, and Visual Studio became the main programs on our PCs.
2022
Throughout the year, we worked on our own projects to improve our understanding and skills and get more aquintant with the needed software. Our founder, Johan Tessens, had other professional activities at the time, which sometimes limited the star-up activities.
2023
Eventually, our founder was reassigned, and we had more time to focus on our business and make concrete plans. We also ordered professional printers from Bambu Lab in the Philippines. To diversify our services, we added Elegoo Resin printers (with a resolution up to 18 micrometers), Epson printers for sublimation printing, and Canon laser printers for Foil Fusing. By the end of 2023, we added multi-color core XY 3D FDM printers to our collection. NERDS.PH has all the necessary business permits and registrations in place to start 2024 with a bang.
